Recent Particulars Come to Light About the Discovery of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Bodies

Recent details have emerged regarding the shocking demises of renowned director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their residence residence on Sunday.

A Alarm

According to a report citing a confidential source, a therapist arriving for an appointment first raised the alarm after being unable to gain access the home. The therapist then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

When she went into the home, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had accompanied her then dialed 911. Following this, paramedics discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Developments

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, along with the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently being held and denied bail.

Clarifications

The confidential informant also disputed several earlier details. They said that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a guesthouse on the grounds, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that moment.

The source also refuted widely reported claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "worried" about Nick's conduct in the preceding period. Instead the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation includes reports of alleged "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a gathering thrown by Conan O'Brien on the night before the discovery. While the source noted they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "rebuked" his son at the party, they asserted that reports of a "major confrontation" between the two were not correct.

Investigation Details

As stated by law enforcement officials, the medical examiner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Preliminary accounts noted the state of their bodies implied they had been dead for some hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the family home. He was set to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, stated his client had a medical issue and would be unable to attend until Wednesday at the earliest.
