Two Victims Identified in Brown University Incident as Law Enforcement Press On With Hunt for Gunman.

The pair of scholars who were killed in the recent violent attack in Providence had tributes paid to them on Monday – as a manhunt for their assailant carried on following the discharge by authorities in Rhode Island of the only individual questioned in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

The young woman Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama, was called “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, as stated by the Advent Cathedral in Birmingham, which offered condolences for her at a ceremony on Sunday.

Her role included vice-president of Brown’s chapter of the College Republicans organization, according to the organization. Karoline Leavitt also shared sympathies publicly, stating: “It's indescribable. Thinking of her loved ones and companions, particularly her mother and father.”

The Second Victim

The second fatality was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an Uzbek national in his first year of studies at the Ivy League university, family members said.

The victim's identification was officially acknowledged by the foreign office of Uzbekistan.

“He was incredibly kind, funny, and smart. He had big dreams of entering the field of neurosurgery and helping people,” his sibling Samira said in a online post.

The Shooting Incident

Nine more persons were injured in Saturday’s attack in the school of engineering of Brown’s grounds in Providence, during the school’s final exam period.

Officials stated late Sunday that a man aged 24 detained in a search at a lodging about 17 miles from the scene earlier in the day was being released.

“There is a killer at large,” stated Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

A group leader, Martin Bertao, posted a statement from the group. “She was famed for her courageous, valiant, and compassionate nature as she served her chapter and peers,” he said.

An American diplomat, Jonathan Henick, said he was “extremely sorrowful” by the passing of Umurzokov in a message. “We extend our sincere condolences to Mr Umurzokov’s family, loved ones, and fellow students and mourn the loss of his bright future.”
