Vince Zampella, Has Died in an LA Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in the state of California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The celebrated game designer lost his life when his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his loved ones, and all those touched by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
